Marissa Carruthers is editor of AsiaLIFE Cambodia, the country’s longest-running, English language lifestyle magazine. She is also the TTG Asia Media correspondent for Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar and a regular contributor to the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, as well as other publications in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Prior to moving to Cambodia in November 2012, Marissa spent a decade working on newspapers in the UK in various roles, such as local government reporter, entertainments editor, crime reporter, chief reporter and acting deputy news editor.
From interviewing former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on his last Saturday in power, welcoming the Queen to the North East of England during her Diamond Jubilee Tour to soaring the skies with the RAF in a Sea King helicopter, learning to shake some moves with world-famous Stomp dance troupe and securing exclusive interviews with the likes of pop sensation Take That, Marissa has a wealth of experience in all genres of journalism.
